Records Disposition

DocMinder®Records Disposition

Manage files according to your defined records disposition policies with DocMinder®Records Disposition Module.

DocMinder®Records Disposition Module provides organizations with a solution to automate the process of managing and tracking expired or out-of-date content that is eligible for disposition.

The Records Disposition module produces a report based on a responsible attorney’s matters. The report lists all matters for an attorney who has records eligible for disposal from a document management system (DMS).

Review Records for Disposal

DocMinder®Records Disposition Module runs based on schedule. Each attorney is assigned to the first step in a workflow to review the records and determine disposition.

The Responsible Attorney receives an email instructing him to use the link in the email to review and determine disposition.

The Responsible Attorney is given a specific number of days to complete the review. The Responsible Attorney will be notified periodically by email that the task needs to be completed.

If the task is not completed in the specified number of days, the Records Manager is notified.

Approve Records for Disposal

After the responsible attorney has completed his review and disposition, the Records Manager receives an email with a link to review and finalize the disposition.

The Records Manager has the final determination of the disposition of the records.

When the Records Manager completes the task, the Records Module connects to the document system's record manager and disposes of the documents stored in the document management system and marks the records as destroyed.

The Records Manager can produce a list of items that are physical records and arrange for the destruction of the physical records.
